Hobby, sport, national pride, and religion - Cricket is the second most played sport in the world.  It enjoys a strong fan following on every habitable continent. At present, there are over a dozen national teams that regularly play each other in competitive tournaments across the globe. Cricket is played by two teams consisting of eleven players each. The objective of the game is to score more runs than the opposing team. A run is scored when the batsman hits a ball delivered by the opposing team's bowler far enough for the batsman to successfully run to the other end of the pitch. 

The Cricket Club, HKUSTSU was founded in 2012. Outstanding Cub Members will be recruited to be Members of HKUST Cricket Team and represent the University to compete in inter-varsity competitions. We have been making a concerted effort to earn a good fame for the Club among local cricketers. The Club is recognized to be one of the Sports Clubs with excellent performance at HKUST.
