TENNIS

Introduction

Tennis is a racquet sport played between two (singles) or four (doubles) players. The players or teams rally the ball alternatively across the net before it has bounced twice on their side. The objective of the sports is to win points by playing the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a legal return.

The Student Tennis Club, HKUSTSU invites interested and dedicated members to try out for the tennis team in the beginning of the academic year. The HKUST Tennis Team participates in USFHK competitions and has acheieved outstanding results. In addition to competitions against other universities, tennis events are often organized on campus. The annual UST Tennis Open encourages school-wide participation, while friendly tournament pit students against professors in an exciting battle of pride and skills.
