NETBALL

Introduction

Netball is a sport played by two teams of seven players. Its development, derived from early versions of basketball. Player movement are restricted to certain areas of the court according to their assigned position. Player can hold onto the ball for no more than three seconds before shooting for a goal or passing to others. Team who scores more is the winner of the game.

The Netball Club, HKUSTSU established in 1999 aims to promote Netball in HKUST. In 2001, the 1st Inter-varsity Netball Invitation Tournament was held. It targeted to promote Netball in all universities and tertiary institutions,and strengthen the linkage among tertiary institutions. Netball Club has regular practice twice a week. All HKUST students are welcomed to join. Potential members will be recruited to be HKUST Netball Team Members.
